Death Note Episode 2

Light finds out that anyone who touches the Death Note will be able to see the highly amused, death god, Ryuk. He devises a mechanism in one of his desk drawers to keep the notebook safe. Meanwhile, Interpool notices the mysterious deaths brought down by the Death Note and calls in an expert to investigate. “L”, the expert, hatches a plan to find the whereabouts of the killer. A slipup from Light narrows the search tremendously and “L’ and Light set off a battle of wits, to see who can find the other first.

Phew, I feel better now that Light actually has someone after him. I couldn’t stand the lack of consequences involved with the storyline of the first episode. Of course, I have mixed feelings of wanting Light to win or lose. I’m not sure which I should root for. Right now the coin is in the air, at least for me.

I’m not sure if I like Ryuk anymore. Sure, he’s an antagonist towards Light, but sometimes he seems a bit too antagonistic. He crosses the line to just plain malicious and I don’t particularly care for it.
