Who are you?

In the land of the internet, I tend to go by Fry. It’s an all purpose, socially acceptable nickname. I am also sometimes called Wallaby but my real name is Rachel. Feel free to call me whatever you wish, but I’ve witnessed that everyone switches to calling me Fry eventually. Its shorter to type, I suppose.

Where are you from?

I tend to move about northern Illinois/southern Wisconsin a lot. My permanent address is in a small town about two hours southwest of Chicago. I can walk in any direction and within five minutes, I’ll have hit corn (or soybeans). Needless to say, there’s not many here who appreciate my love of anime. Even those who do love anime, only love the things they see regularly on Cartoon Network or ForKids. It’s really hard to talk to them about the land of fansubs.

Subs or Dubs?

I am very particular when it comes to dubbing and, unless there is something specifically drawing me towards it (say, Patrick Stewart lent his voice), I stick to subtitles. If I don’t particularly feel like reading what I’m watching, I just don’t watch Anime. There are plenty of other things to watch.
